Camouflaging autistic traits: The CAT-Q

CAT-Q is a quick 25-question questionnaire that measures social camouflage behaviour in adults (and adolescents over 16yo). It includes three sub-categories of masking, camouflage and assimilation. Average scores by neurotype and gender are included for comparison. Spoiler alert: neurotypical females mask the least!
See if you are camouflaging autistic traits by taking the test on the Embrace Autism website, which also includes help interpreting your scores.
At the conclusion of the test there are some recommended next steps including the RAADS-R , Empathy Quotient and Aspie Quiz (just click on the I Accept button to proceed), please note there is outdated terminology used on most of these.
Online tests can help you decide if you would like a formal diagnosis, but we know well that the cost and wait time can be prohibitive. Please know that self-identification is valid.
